Frequently
Asked Questions
What
size tent do I need?
We
can help you determine the tent best suited to your needs.
Size needed will depend on many variables such as, number of guests,
table size and placement, number of chairs,
other items under tent, etc.
What is the difference between a pole tent, a frame tent and a century tent?
How will I know which one is right for me?
A
pole tent has center supporting poles, as well as side-poles evenly spaced
around the perimeter.
A
frame tent has an aluminum framework supporting the tent fabric. As there are no
poles under the tent, all of the space is usable with no obstructions.
Century
tents are pole structures with a highly peaked profile. The added peak height
gives the tent interior a spacious feeling.
Can I put a tent on a deck?
Yes,
a tent can be put on most decks. Size and style will vary, but a
Seacoast representative will be happy to help you determine the best
tent for your space.
Do tents come with sides?
Sides and lights are available for a reasonable fee.
We have a number of styles to choose from.
Can you put a dance floor under a tent?
Sure,
Seacoast has oak parquet dance floors and staging available.
It is
important to remember that the tent needs to be
large
enough to accommodate the tables and chairs along with the dance floor and other
accessories.
What
if there is no electricity near the tent? Can I still have lights?
Seacoast
has generators for rent which can be used to provide power for lighting.
Can
you heat a tent?
Propane
heaters with thermostats are available and work well to heat tents in the cooler
weather. Sidewalls also help to contain warmth inside a tent.
